Born in Bourges in 1975. Charles Fréger studied fine art in Rouen. He dedicates himself to the poetic and
anthropological
representation of social groups such as sportsmen, pupils and soldiers etc. Freger's work provides a study of
contemporary youth.
The style of the photos are often similar (viewpoint, color, lighting, distance between the photographer and his subject). Despite the apparent similarities (clothing, age), the unique characteristics of each model are always evident.
Charles Fréger's work thus questions the boundaries between individual and collective identity.
